District Assessment

A joy to be taking this wonderful assessment. Yes, I am back to being sarcastic about everything, but this is just how I am. Am I supposed to sit there and put on a barbie and ken smile to show that writing isn't that bad. No, I can't do that. I am supposed to enjoy reading things that put me to sleep? Probably not. I don't want to make it sound like Language Arts is a bad class. It is not, I am only talking about the district assessment. No worries people. I love language arts other than taking these stupid things. If anyone seems offended by these things..... sorry! but not really cause this is my blog.

  1. Haha. Oh, Paityn. You always write about your own opinion, it's never any fake school ramblings that you put up here, and that's why I love your blog. I agree soooo much- District Assessments put me to sleep and irritate me, because I can't find anything to connect to them about. I think, for an assessment, we should be able to choose what we write about and how we write it.

  2. Let me just say for the record....district assessments put me to sleep, too! Now, imagine how us LA teachers feels when we have to spend TWO DAYS reading and scoring these things? Ahhhhh..........!!!!! The encouraging thing I do have to say, is that the LA teachers agree that it's time to change, that it's better to look at a variety of student writing - pieces the students choose that they feel best reflects them as a writer. Makes more sense, huh?
I so enjoyed reading your posts! I love the honesty. Keep up the good work!
